Ebony Caper

Small Little Hidden Tang knife

It started off as a much wider blade, but unfortnately the blade melted during heat treat.  After I tempered the steel I changed the shape of the blade, making sure that I do not overheat the blade.

This was my first attempt at making a metal bolster.  It is made of aluminium.  I have made one more Clip point knife with an aluminium bolster, but I will not be using this metal again.  I think I am allergic to the fine metal grinding powder, so I will probably just use stainless or even mild steel for the next projects.

O1 toolsteel
HArdened to approx 56-58 Rockwell
The Handle is African Ebony polished up to 400 grit
Black leather sheath
