Latest Work going out to a customer
A friend of mine wanted a knife for himself, his wife and for his son.
All the knives are O1 toolsteel
The handles are between 110 and 130mm
The blades are between 120 and 150mm
Handle materials are Walnut, Red Deer Antler and Beech with Brass pins
I ended up making two additional knives and added my antler handle knife.
I also started making boxes for presentation.
As always the sheaths are handmade from vegetable tanned leather.

Clip Point
I made a clip point hidden tang knife.
It is the first time I have used pins on the bolster
This will be the last time that I use aluminium as a bolster, because I seem to be allergic to the aluminium sanding dust.

A Christmas gift for a very special friend
A very dear friend mentioned that she would love to have her own knife.
I made the handle nice and small to comfortably fit in the hand of a lady.
It is a hidden tang design with a handle made of two pieces of flat brass, two pieces of ebony, a piece of beech and a piece of walnut.
Overall length is 19 cm with a 10 cm blade.
The blade was hardened to 56-58 Rockwell
I also made the presentation box from pine laminate.
Teak Recurve
Overall Length 24cm
Blade Length 12
Handle Material: Indonesian Teak with Brass Pins
Full tang
3mm O1 toolsteel

Japanes Nakiri bōchō
My friend wanted a "Japanese Vegetable knife" better known as a Nakiri bōchō.
We used an old saw blade to make this knife.
The blade is approx 1.5mm thick with a full flat grind
It has a 600 grit satin finish.
The handle "bolster" is ebony and the back of the handle made of beech wood. Brass pins.
It is nice and sharp and the front edge is also sharpened.
My friend uses it on a daily basis and absolutely loves the knife.
